Yesterday, enjoying another summer night and cuddled in my mom's sofa with hot chocolate and some really good chips, I saw a really cute movie.
Based on the young adult novel by Wendekin Van Draanen, Flipped it's a stand-alone teen romance in a he-said/she-said kind of way with the two protagonists alternately presenting their perspective on a shared set of events.
With Madeline Carrol as Julianna 'Juli' Barker and Callan McAuliffe as Bryce Loski telling the story of their characters struggling with their feelings at such a young age, and the direction of Rob Reiner (The Princess Bride) the film comes across a really inspiring movie about the pursuit of the first love.
Especially when they use quotes like this one:
"Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss; but every once in a while, you find someone who's iridescent, and once you do, nothing will ever compare." —Chet.
I knew you would like that quote, I told you it was as flawless as my ass, bitch.
